North Coast Redwoods District

Environmental Camps

Sometimes referred to as undeveloped &/or Primitive

Environmental camps usually permit the camper to drive their vehicle into a special parking area and from there they must carry their camping equipment a short distance, generally 200+ yards to up to ¼ mile. First come/first served – except Humboldt Redwoods which maybe reserved.

Each site has a picnic table, fire ring, a tent location and a toilet nearby. No potable water available at the sites.

Fee: $7.00/$11.00/ site (off/on season) – Subject to change as of January 2001

While each site may accommodate up to 8 people maximum, the sites are primarily designed for very small user groups (1 – 4 people)

Because of the backcountry nature of these camps – no pets permitted
