Environmental camps offer campers a chance to stay in a more primitive environment. These camps are located in the Bull Creek area of the park. The camps have chemical toilets and untreated water. Each campsite has a picnic table and fire ring. Firewood is available for purchase at any of the developed campgrounds. Wood may not be gathered in the park. The environmental campsites can be individually reserved through Reserve America. (see Reservations page)

NOTE: This is black bear country. You must properly store all food when camping in the park. Bear canisters are recommended. If you do not have a bear canister, you may store your food locked in your vehicle with all windows rolled up. Do not keep any scented items in your campsite, as these tend to attract bears. See this brochure for bear safety tips. (Requires free Adobe Acrobat Reader.)

To get to the camps, you need a gate combination. We give this to you when you check in at either Burlington or Albee Creek campgrounds.
