| This grove was dedicated in 1928 to honor Franklin K. Lane, a former Secretary of the Interior under President Wilson, and the first voluunteer president of the Save-the-Redwoods League. Along the trail, you will find the remains of the original redwood hghway, completed in 1922. There are picnic tables next to the parking lot. You may want to enjoy a picnic lunch under the redwoods before you continue your journey along the Avenue of the Giants. | |
