| This trail is a good choice for an overnight or all-day hike. Be sure to take water and food and tell someone where you are going. There is water available at the fire lookout at the top of the mountain only when it is staffed (approximately July 1 through September 30). Year-round access is from Grasshopper fire road along the Mattole Road. | |
| Notes: This is not a bike trail. Hikers only. Bikes may be used on the year-round access trail on Grasshopper fire road. | |
