Description:	Wooded area in the Rockefeller Forest. Mosquitoes can be plentiful here.

Point of interest:	Campground contains three historic cabins built by tanbark workers. Bark from the tan oak tree was harvested for its tannic acid. Absolutely NO FIRES in the cabins. Please do not dismantle these historic structures.
Fires:	NO FIRES are allowed in the backcountry or the trail camps. Cooking stoves are OK.
Dogs:	No dogs are allowed on trails or at the trail camps.
Horses:	No horses are allowed at the trail camps.
Activities:	Hiking and wildlife watching.
Animal life:	Raccoon, gray fox, striped skunk, spotted skunk, coyote, bobcat, black bear, black-tailed deer, brush rabbit, black-tailed jackrabbit, deer mouse, California valley quail, turkey vulture, wild pig, wild turkey, red-tailed hawk, raven, Steller's jay, mountain lion, varied thrush.
